Whether you consume ice cream or not, National Ice Cream Day just sounds fun to celebrate. We love the rich taste of high quality ice cream, so we thought it would be fun to share with you some of our favorite brands that will have you screaming for more. All of these brands list below we highly recommend trying if sustainability is key. Why are these selections important? Most national brands that you might have tried previously may be full of nasty ingredients such as high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, colorings, and other unnecessary foreign elements. We want you to celebrate, but in a good way that’s good for your love ones. Enjoy these sublime ice cream brands on a hot sunny day.
- Alden’s Organic Ice Cream–(www.aldensicecream.com) An Oregon ice cream company that strongly believes in the quality of organic family farms. Alden’s is totally committed to disturbing only the best with no added junk what so ever. I, myself, have tired Alden’s ice cream and can tell you it’s definitely one of, or, the very best ice cream brand i’ve purchased in a supermarket. If you are into supporting family farms, Alden’s ice cream is certainly your pick. By the way, vanilla bean is my favorite choice. Yes, I know I am plain Jane, I just love the rich pure taste of guniene vanilla.
- Three Twins Organic Ice Cream–(www.threetwinsicecream.com)-What’s so unique about Three Twins ice cream is the beautiful startup story of how the name came about. In a San Rafael, California apartment, founder Neal Gottlieb & twin brother shared an apartment with his twin brother’s wife which is also a twin. Pretty cool, right? What sets this ice cream company apart from the others are the numerous varieties of flavors that are yes, organic. Most organic brands are limited on choices, but Three Twins have cool varieties such as: butterscotch pecan, banana nut confetti, chocolate malt, mocha difference, and the list goes on. The bottom line is if you want organic and cool flavors, Three Twins is the brand you want in your freezer.
- Julie’s Organic Ice Cream–(www.juliesorganic.com)-This delectable ice cream establishment is the second brand we are featuring out of Oregon, but in Eugene, Oregon. According to Julie’s Organic, they were the first national organic ice cream brand that was available in 1998. What I love about Julie’s Organic is that i’ve notice they have focused on consumers that enjoy gourmet ice cream sandwiches and bars. Julie’s Organic is also kosher just FYI.
- Publix Greenwise Organic Ice Cream–(www.publix.com)-If you live in the Southeast region of the United States, Publix Supermarkets might be your favorite supermarket. If so, try their organic ice cream Greenwise Salted Carmel. The heavenly taste will have you jumping for joy and wanting more on this day and beyond. This selection is definitely an indulgence, but hey, this summer holiday only arrives once a year. Invite family and friends over for an ice cream social just to ensure you won’t have any tempting left overs.
Enjoy The Great Pleasures of Summer!
